“Which Carmel Apple?” (2008)

This photo was taken at an apple farm’s store in Trempealeau, WI. This is taken at a side angle of the carmel apples that were for sale. This is a photographic element of focus. The way the background is out of focus and and the front of the photo is very sharp.

“American Queen Forever” (2008)

This was taken this weekend when the boat, The American Queen, was in town. It sails up and down the Mississippi River. On it’s stop in Winona i took some pictures. This is an example of rectangles with showing a close up shot of the boat, seeing all the boxes for the state rooms, this gives that it’s effect.

“Pink Flowers” (2008)

This is an example of circles in photographic terms. This photo was taken in my Mom’s garden near dusk. The small circles are seen in the pink dots of these flowers.

“Apple Picking Season” (2008)

I went apple picking recently and the colors of these apples had to be captured on film! This was taken at Ecker’s Apple Farm in Trempealeau, WI. The way the apples are positioned here is a photographic element of triangles.

“Bend in a Wisconsin Road” (2008)

This photo was taken on highway 35/54 in Wisconsin, which is right across the river from where we are. When no cars were coming I got out of my car and took this photo. This is a Photographic Element of Curves. I toned down the colors of the photo to fit the mood of the weather. It was a cloudy day and looked like rain. I personally love the lonely feeling you get when you look at this.

“Walking up” (2008)

This photo was taken of my Mother as we were walking around taking photos across the river. This is an example of a diagonal lines photo. As she walked up a staircase i told her to stop. I captured this only showing the hand and part of the body for a dramatic effect. the colors of this photo also give character to the time of year this was taken in.

“All Aboard!” (2008)

This photo was taken when the boat, the American Queen, came to Winona this weekend. This is from a cropped photo, focusing on the two subjects of two very similar looking men. They are both looking at something, which creates Dynamic Tension, and they are also more than one point to look at in the photo. This is a Several Points Photo.

“Loves Past” (2008)

This is a photo of a single point. The single point being the love note written in the wood. Your eye is drawn to this single point in the photograph. This was taken over across the river at a rest stop on the side of the highway.
